When we wash the Monolithic Dome, tile it or do other maintance on top of the dome, it is often very nice to have an anchor point on top you can attach safety equipment to. These items can be done without it, they can be done by putting a bridle of ropes on the dome and then attaching to the center of the bridle. The anchor point is simple, safe and secure. In order for it to be safe it has to be done correctly.
The Anchor Point comes with four 3/8 inch by 7 inches wedge foot anchors depending on the thickness of the foam they will generally be all that you need. After installation the wedge foot anchor bolts may be cut off with a hack saw to prevent their interfering with the climbing rope.
